The Technical Department is responsible for, among other things, the municipality's properties, buildings, contracts, energy issues, forestry management, water and sewage plants, roads, pipelines, waste management, and parks.

The Property Unit, which is part of the Technical Department, manages its own properties. The area of responsibility stretches from Höljes in the north to just south of Torsby town. In addition to premises for the municipality's core activities, there are swimming facilities, cultural buildings, rental apartments, industrial premises, and more. The municipality is also responsible for the operation of Torsby Ski Tunnel & Sport Center, the first ski tunnel in Sweden and one of the longest in the world.

JOB DESCRIPTION

Torsby municipality in Värmland, Technical Department, is looking for a property caretaker based in Torsby.

We are looking for someone who is service-oriented and responsible. Your task is to maintain and take care of our properties together with other employees so that tenants and others have a good environment to live and work in. You work preventively, are cost-conscious, and have a good overall view. You carry out repairs and maintenance, ensure that urgent faults and deficiencies are addressed immediately, and follow up on contracts. During the winter months, you are responsible for snow removal and ice prevention being carried out exemplary. During the summer months, you are responsible for ensuring that green areas, flower beds, and other land areas are well-maintained. Property readiness may be included in the position.

QUALIFICATIONS

We believe that you have gained knowledge and experience from similar jobs in the property industry, or that you work in related professions and want to change your career role. Experience from the construction sector or similar is an advantage. You have the knowledge required for simple repairs and maintenance of properties and apartments. You are technically skilled and see the computer as a natural tool in your work. It is important that you are service-oriented and take responsibility for your area.

We assume that you are used to using a computer and mobile phone in your daily life and can utilize the municipality's IT tools, as well as that you can express yourself well in speech and writing.

We will place great emphasis on personal suitability.

A Class B driver's license is a requirement.
