Job Responsibilities

As a leisure educator/after-school leader, you will plan and lead the activities at the after-school program. You will work to support students' development through play, creativity, and social interaction, and you are an important part of the school's overall environment. In addition to after-school activities, you will work as a resource primarily for the lower grades, where we currently have a preschool class with 10 students and a 2-3 grade class with 10 students. Here, you will truly have the chance to make a difference in students' daily lives and learning.

You will collaborate closely with teachers and other staff to create a stimulating environment both during and after school hours. Contact and cooperation with guardians is an important part of the job. The role gives you significant influence over your work and the opportunity to contribute your ideas and expertise.

Qualifications

We are looking for someone with training as a leisure educator or a teacher with a focus on after-school programs, or an equivalent educational background. You are engaged and creative, and you see opportunities in development work. With your strong collaborative skills and solution-focused approach, you contribute to a positive and safe environment for the students.

You want to be a stable and secure adult who creates meaningful activities for children of various ages. Additionally, you have good communication skills and find it easy to build relationships with students, colleagues, and guardians. Experience working with school-aged children is an advantage.

Permanent position, full-time. Start date according to agreement. Placement at Sjulsmark School F-6.

Sjulsmark School F-6 is located in a fantastic small village about 20 kilometers outside Piteå, surrounded by a nature-friendly environment that invites creativity and adventure. We have about 45 students, and the after-school program has around 20 children enrolled.
