The Sami School is an educational form equivalent to primary school, providing instruction from preschool to grade 6. The basis for the education is the Sami culture and the Sami language according to the curriculum for the Sami school. The Sami School Board also operates preschool in agreement with the respective municipality. The Sami School Board has operations in Giron, Gárasavvon, Váhtjer, Jåhkåmåhkke, and Dearna.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

Teacher in Leisure Home 50% / Pool Position (Substitute) 50% at the Sami School in Gällivare. Plan, implement, and evaluate teaching in accordance with the primary school's governing documents and from the Sami perspective, both individually and in teams. You will actively participate in developing successful learning environments together with others at the school. Participate in other work at the leisure home together with staff.

QUALIFICATIONS

You should be able to work in preschool, leisure, school, and kitchen as a substitute. You master the Sami language, both orally and in writing, and have knowledge of Sami culture and tradition. You should have a good ability to be attentive to our students' needs, interests, and wishes. We expect you to be flexible. You have a positive view of people and the ability to create good relationships, as well as the ability to prevent and resolve potential conflicts with students. You should have good collaboration skills with colleagues, students, and parents. We will place great emphasis on personal suitability. We are looking for someone with documented good collaboration skills.
