About the Position

As an Application Operations Technician, you will belong to the Facility-Near OT Systems unit within the IT department for Networks & Facilities and become part of Svenska Kraftnät's digitalization journey. Your tasks may include handling cases, monitoring tools, logs, as well as alarms and IT incidents that arise in the systems.

Examples of Tasks:

Operation, configuration, and support of IT systems and their applications, as well as updating systems and applications.
Configuration and upgrading of the Hitachi RTU500 series.
Case management (incidents, problems, and orders) and assisting in delivering on management activities and project deliveries.
New installation of support systems with associated configuration and testing.
Incident management and troubleshooting within networks, routing, firewalls, and applications.
Collaboration in projects and management (approximately 70% management and 30% projects).
Preparing and managing error reports to suppliers.
Participating in internal and external meetings.
Establishing ongoing operation, support, and management documentation.
Reporting status and deviations on cases to the IT System Responsible.

You will work with colleagues in roles such as IT System Responsible, IT Management Leader, testers, architects, assignment and project leaders. We work cross-functionally and closely with the business. The team is characterized by strong cohesion and a culture of knowledge sharing where we actively support each other and work together to drive development forward.

About You

Essential Requirements:

We are looking for someone who is driven and collaborative with a focus on achieving goals together with your team. The role requires you to be eager to learn new things and to enjoy operational and repetitive work that sometimes, without warning, requires you to shift pace. To succeed in the role, we also see that you work in a structured manner by organizing and planning your work well, even in pressured situations. You have good analytical skills and are solution-oriented.

Furthermore, you have an education in computer science, data, or IT or equivalent competence acquired in another way that Svenska Kraftnät assesses as equivalent. You also have:

About 1 year of experience with the Hitachi RTU500 series in commissioning, troubleshooting, and advanced application.
Current and relevant work experience within mission-critical or operation-critical IT systems (e.g., control and monitoring of real-time communication or similar).
Several years of work experience in case management, support, operation, and management of applications and IT systems.
Work experience in IT environments based on Linux/Unix.
Understanding of network security, firewalls, and/or VPN tunnels.
Fluent in both spoken and written Swedish.
Good ability to express yourself verbally and in writing in English.

We consider it an advantage if you have experience working according to ITIL.
