The Education Administration operates services for 3,500 children and students in preschool and pedagogical care, primary school, high school, adult education, as well as student health. The education administration also includes the municipality's food department.

Högelidsskolan is a K-9 school located in the eastern part of Mariestad. When you enter through the high school entrance, you are greeted by the café, which is a popular meeting place for both students and staff. We have four classes in each grade with two mentors in each class.

Here, we actively work to ensure that our youth feel safe, both with themselves and in various groups/constellations. The student health team works closely with students and staff, and for us, preventive and promoting work is important.

We are now looking for a teacher in mathematics and English for grades 7-9 who will work with smaller student groups. Are you a confident and inspiring person? Then this position may be of interest to you!

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

You will work as a teacher in grades 7-9 in a small group. By small group, we mean a place where students with special support needs go and where students also need a small context. You may also teach another subject in addition to mathematics and English. Which subject it could be depends on what you bring from your education. Your role also includes mentoring some of the students in the small group.

With engagement and enthusiasm, you create a safe learning environment that stimulates students to joyful learning and personal responsibility. Staying up to date with developments in the educational environment is a natural part of the teacher's role. We work with collegial learning, which means you collaborate with colleagues to develop yourself and your teaching as well as the school's educational work.

QUALIFICATIONS

We are looking for a licensed primary school teacher for grades 7-9 with qualifications in mathematics and English, as well as in another subject.

You see the value in teamwork and want to be involved in developing the school's operations together with others. You communicate easily and can express yourself in writing. Digital tools are used in the educational activities for documentation and development, so your experience with digital tools is important. In your professional role, you are a clear leader, have personal maturity, and a professional approach to students, guardians, and colleagues.
