Within the social care administration, about 1200 dedicated employees work to provide support and care to those in need in our municipality. The work takes place within elderly care, home care, disability services, and social psychiatry, as well as individual and family care.

The health and medical care unit consists of nurses, occupational therapists, physiotherapists, rehabilitation assistants, and HSL-USK. We work with patients aged 18 and older who need health and medical care at the primary care level in their homes, both in special and ordinary housing.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

We are now looking for a nurse for day and evening shifts at Ordinary housing in Ystad. The position is linked to a fixed schedule, which gives you a recurring and secure work schedule.

Please note that the position does not have a fixed workplace. You will therefore work in different units within the organization based on needs.

Therefore, we are looking for someone who is confident in their professional role, works independently, and appreciates variety and flexibility in daily work.

Your role includes:

  • Assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating health and medical care interventions.
  • Performing medical assessments and making decisions based on the patient's current needs.
  • Prescribing and following up on nursing measures in close collaboration with nursing staff.
  • Delegating and guiding staff in nursing work and supporting nursing students during their internships.
  • Coordinating and collaborating with other professionals, relatives, and caregivers to create safe and cohesive care.
  • Documenting and following up on interventions according to applicable routines and guidelines.

For us, contact with patients and relatives is a central part of the work. You see the whole person and meet each individual with engagement, respect, and care.

QUALIFICATIONS

To thrive in this role, you need to be an independent, confident, and responsible person who enjoys making decisions and seeing the whole picture in care interventions. You are meticulous, flexible, and have the ability to quickly adapt to different situations.

You are a licensed nurse and have a B driver's license. Experience in home care, elderly care, and municipal health and medical care is advantageous, as well as specialist training as a district nurse or specialist nurse in elderly care. The most important thing is your commitment and your willingness to provide good and safe care.

You need to have good knowledge of Swedish, both spoken and written, as well as experience in documenting in journal systems and working digitally.

Working hours are weekdays where you work both day/evening with shifts every fifth weekend. During weekend work, you will work throughout the municipality and meet patients in both ordinary and special housing as well as LSS and social psychiatry, making the work both varied and developing.
