Preschool Hörnan is located in Holmsund, about 20 kilometers outside Umeå. Here we have three departments. With the oldest children, we work based on the Bornholm model. With proximity to both forest and sea, we place great emphasis on outdoor play. Click here for a digital tour!

Employment Information

The position is a permanent part-time employment (75%), with a planned start date of January 5, 2026.

Your Responsibilities

As a preschool teacher, you are responsible for leading the teaching based on the curriculum. This means you are responsible for planning, implementation, evaluation, analysis, and development of the teaching. You are part of a team, so it is important to be able to collaborate and lead colleagues with other professional roles in the educational work.

Based on the curriculum, you work with children in groups while ensuring that each child receives challenges and support according to their needs. As a preschool teacher, you are responsible for documenting children's development and learning. You have daily communication with guardians about how the children have been during the day as well as their development and any challenges.

About You

As a person, you are engaged, flexible, positive, and solution-focused. You can lead colleagues and drive development work. In your work, you lead children and child groups, spark curiosity, and easily create relationships and collaborate with children, guardians, and colleagues. Great importance is placed on personal suitability.

Requirements

• Preschool teacher certification/applied for certification
• Experience working in preschool
• Valid extract from the criminal record
• Good knowledge of the Swedish language in speech and writing
