RESPONSIBILITIES

As a substitute in preschool, you will be part of a team where you together create a safe, fun, and educational environment for the children. You participate in various activities, games, and adventures both indoors and outdoors, and support the regular staff in the pedagogical work. As a substitute, you may have varying roles depending on where the needs are and where you end up.

The assignment involves contributing to the children's development linguistically, socially, mathematically, and creatively by being an active part of the pedagogical planning. You are a role model who shows respect for everyone's differences and works based on the preschool's values and curriculum. Together with colleagues, you also have the responsibility to communicate and collaborate closely with guardians.

QUALIFICATIONS

First and foremost, we are looking for someone who enjoys working with children and youth to contribute to their development. Of course, it is an extra merit if you have pedagogical education or previous experience in similar roles, but it is not a requirement. As long as you are engaged, responsible, and flexible, we believe you will be able to collaborate with your colleagues and do a good job for the students.

As a substitute, it is important that you can quickly adapt to new situations and are a secure adult role model who creates a calm environment in the groups you work with. OTHER

Education and labor market is one of the municipality's largest administrations with about 3,000 employees. Our activities are spread throughout the municipality with approximately 35 primary schools, 87 preschools, 40 after-school centers, and four high schools. We work to ensure that children and youth have the tools they need to find their way in both the present and the future. We advocate for a holistic view and a common thread in development and learning from preschool through high school. A growing adult education and a labor market unit focusing on those who need extra support are also part of the administration.
