Brännlands School is a small, family-oriented school with about 60 students from preschool class to grade 3, as well as an after-school program.

Employment Information

The position is a special fixed-term employment, full-time, starting from 2026-03-02 by agreement until 2026-06-10.

Your Responsibilities

You will work as a teaching assistant for a student in grade 2. The assignment involves following the student throughout the school day and during after-school activities and making the necessary adjustments to ensure the student has a functional and safe everyday life.

The assignment is both complex and challenging. We are looking for someone who can be a stable and secure support throughout the school day, both in working with individual students in need of support and, when necessary, in smaller groups. You actively and preventively work to create structure, security, and good conditions for learning.

The assignment may also include elements such as individual teaching based on the teacher's planning, as well as excursions and activities outside the school premises.

About You

As a teaching assistant, you are a secure and stable adult who serves as a good role model for the students. You have the ability to create trusting relationships and see each student based on their individual needs. Through your work, you contribute to a safe, inclusive, and stimulating school environment.

You collaborate closely with colleagues and actively participate in the joint efforts to achieve set goals. We are looking for someone who is engaged, shares our values, and wants to contribute to the school's ongoing development and improvement work.

You thrive in a team environment where you collectively analyze, develop, and improve the operations. It is an advantage if you have an interest in sports. To succeed in this role, you need to have good collaboration skills and a genuine student perspective that shapes your approach and values. We place great emphasis on personal suitability.

Requirements:

• Approved high school diploma
• Experience working as a teaching assistant in lower school ages
• Experience adapting teaching and managing challenging behavior
• Experience with low-arousal approaches
• Fluent knowledge of the Swedish language in speech and writing
• Valid extract from the criminal record, in accordance with the law on suitability checks

Meritorious:

• Pedagogical education, such as teaching assistant or childcare worker
