High School Mathematics Teacher

We are now looking for a high school mathematics teacher who wants to make a real difference and help develop students' understanding, self-confidence, and belief in their future.

YOUR ROLE

As a high school mathematics teacher, you will plan, implement, and follow up on teaching at the high school level. You will make the theories of mathematics understandable and relevant, creating lessons where students can reason, test, analyze, and understand. Through your teaching style, you will help students see connections, develop strategies, and dare to challenge their own thinking.

You will be part of a team where we collaborate closely, share experiences, and develop teaching together. The role also includes mentorship, where you will follow a group of students over time and contribute to their safety, motivation, and structure in their school life. As a mentor, you are an important adult who creates a holistic approach between teaching, well-being, and development.

In your daily work, you will meet students with different needs and circumstances. You will build relationships that create safety and a conducive learning environment, being a stable adult who leads, inspires, and guides.

YOUR COMPETENCE AND EXPERIENCE

You have a teaching license with the authority to teach mathematics at the high school level. You express yourself well in Swedish, both orally and in writing, and have a good ability to adapt your communication to the different circumstances of your students. You also have good knowledge of English.

You are comfortable using digital tools and learning platforms as a natural part of teaching, and you are familiar with the school's governing documents. You stay updated on changes in curricula and subject plans and implement them in your pedagogical work.

It is an advantage if you also have a teaching license in natural science and/or physics, as well as previous teaching experience. We also welcome those who are new to the profession and want to grow together with colleagues and students.

As a person, you are structured and work methodically, while also being stable even when the pace increases or circumstances change. You enjoy collaborating with others, take responsibility for your role, and meet students with clarity, attentiveness, and genuine engagement.
