Hissjö School is beautifully located, 14 kilometers northwest of Umeå.

At the school, there are just over a hundred students from preschool to grade six. There is a close collaboration between the school and the after-school program. Job Responsibilities

Your task as a primary school teacher is to plan teaching based on the curriculum but also to make a more comprehensive planning together with colleagues. You will individually and together with colleagues follow up, evaluate, and analyze teaching, as well as assess and document students' knowledge development. You are responsible for creating a safe and inclusive learning environment that contributes to students' goal fulfillment. As a teacher, you are responsible for informing the student and guardians about the student's knowledge development.

About You

You are a clear leader in the classroom with the ability to create a safe, inclusive, and supportive learning environment, structure, and context for all students. You are well-versed in the school's governing documents. You differentiate and vary the teaching based on students' needs. You share your knowledge and experiences to contribute to collegial learning. An important part of the teaching role is to build good relationships with students, colleagues, and guardians.

Great emphasis is placed on personal suitability.

Requirements

• Teaching certification and qualification to teach music in grades 2-6, or trained teacher in after-school care with qualification in music.
• Experience teaching music
• Valid extract from the criminal record
• Good knowledge of the Swedish language in speech and writing

Meritorious

• Experience working with children and young people
