Development Engineer in Medical Technology

SpectraCure is a high-tech development company that develops medical laser equipment for the treatment of various forms of cancer. We are now looking for a development engineer to strengthen our team on the path to commercializing our product for cancer treatment. You will join a smaller company with engaged and dedicated colleagues and managers who provide freedom with responsibility. SpectraCure is located in pleasant and newly renovated premises on Gasverksgatan in central Lund.

The Position

You will work in a team with extensive expertise in photonics, electronics, software, and general technology development. Your role will be relatively general, where we want to see that you can work with all parts of the system at a high level, but also have some deeper specialist competence, preferably in areas such as testing, medical technology, or regulatory work with technical standards. You will also work with support in the operating room at the hospitals we collaborate with in clinical studies, which involves travel mainly within Europe, the USA, and Canada.

Your tasks will include:

· Development of products and prototypes

· Writing specifications, design descriptions, and reports, as well as interpreting requirements

· Writing test plans and conducting tests

· Technical support during the clinical studies

· Travel to partner hospitals in Europe, the USA, and Canada

The position is based in Lund and is a full-time position.

Your Background

You have a master's degree in areas such as engineering physics, electrical engineering, computer science, mechanical engineering, or medical technology. You are proficient in English, both spoken and written. We welcome applicants with experience in the development of prototypes or finished products, particularly in medical technology. Experience in optics and photonics, working with documentation under quality management systems such as ISO 9001 or ISO 13485, and working with technical standards is an advantage.
