Support Assistant Wanted for Bryggarens Group Home
Are you reliable, attentive, and able to meet individuals based on their needs? Do you enjoy a varied job where you provide support both at home and during various activities? We are looking for a support assistant for Bryggarens group home. We seek individuals with relevant education, good knowledge, and experience working within LSS operations (LSS - Act on Support and Service for Certain Disabled Persons). We advocate for a low-arousal approach characterized by openness, humility, and reflection.
Job Responsibilities
Working as a support assistant gives you the opportunity to make a difference in other people's lives. The tasks include motivating, supporting, and helping individuals in all everyday situations both inside and outside the home. This means facilitating daily life for the individual’s living situation and providing support in social contexts. We work based on a clarifying pedagogy by maintaining structure according to the implementation plan created in collaboration with the individual. The working method is characterized by the building blocks of LSS: participation, self-determination, and independence, with the right to live a life similar to everyone else's.
We always strive for our clients to become as independent as possible based on their circumstances. In our work, we always start from the individual themselves and what they wish for the day, the week, or generally in life, which then forms the basis for our common approach towards the specific individual.
In the role of support assistant, you will have a varied job that involves close collaboration with municipal health care personnel, psychiatry, relatives, and representatives. You will have the opportunity to develop our operations and activities based on our active work with implementation plans where our efforts are directed towards the individual through goals that are continuously followed up in collaboration with other professionals.
Qualifications
The following is required for the role:
- You have completed a nursing program with a focus on disabilities, treatment assistant, or other education/experience deemed equivalent by the employer.

- Education and/or experience in TAKK.
- Knowledge and/or experience working with challenging behavior.
- Good knowledge of Swedish in both spoken and written form.
- Experience using various data systems.
- Experience and training in low-arousal approaches.
Personal Qualities
As a person, we prefer that you are calm, attentive, and clear in your communication. You are independent, take responsibility for your work, and can meet the individual's needs through a balance of structure and flexibility. You have the ability to adapt your working method to the situation and thrive when many different things are happening at once. You have good collaboration skills, are eager to develop, and are creative in finding new ways to increase the client's participation, independence, and communication.
Great emphasis will be placed on personal suitability.
Desirable Qualifications
- Education or advanced experience with various diagnoses and disabilities within LSS/SoL and/or psychiatry.
- Knowledge of clarifying pedagogy.
- Knowledge of or experience with motivational interviewing (MI).
- Education and/or experience working with eating disorders.
- Education and/or experience working with self-harm behavior.
Employment Conditions
Permanent employment with start date by agreement.
The organization applies the full-time work agreement to everyone, where the starting point is full-time but with the possibility to request a degree of employment. The agreement also includes flexibility and the ability to partially request a work schedule.
The work involves shifts during the day and evening as well as revised on-call duty.
