About Viljan Sävik Treatment Home 

Sävik was established in 1994 and is today a residential treatment center (HVB) that offers treatment for men aged 18 to 55 with issues related to substance abuse, criminality, and mental health. The treatment home provides round-the-clock care and is an "open" treatment home where clients choose to seek help themselves. At Sävik, therapists, nurses, doctors, and treatment assistants work for the best interest of the clients. Our method is CBT-based treatment aimed at improving the client's functional level. The treatment is evidence-based and adapted to the latest requirements and recommendations from the National Board of Health and Welfare. About the role of treatment pedagogue

The work involves being involved in our clients' daily lives and treatment. The tasks include case management where you build relationships to provide support and help for self-help. You should also be able to offer clients individual motivational conversations. Additionally, you will participate in the client's and the organization's activities as well as in the daily operations of the treatment home. We expect you to have a professional and empathetic approach with a good ability for clear and direct communication. You should have good computer skills and be comfortable with documentation. We work with commitment in everything concerning our clients. You have good collaboration skills and relate to others in a responsive manner and enjoy collaborating with other professionals, always with the individual in focus.

Qualifications

You are relationship-building and have a good ability to establish contact with people in vulnerable situations. You are calm, stable, and can maintain a realistic perspective on situations that arise in daily work. You have good collaboration skills and relate to others in a responsive manner and enjoy collaborating with others. You are an independent, humble, and responsible person who is passionate about working with our clients and can see the individual's needs.

We place great importance on personal suitability.

Requirements:

  • Post-secondary education of two years or longer
  • Driver's license B

Meritorious:

    • Experience in substance abuse treatment
    • Experience in HVB operations, treatment operations
    • Experience in criminal care
    • Training in motivational interviewing

Employment conditions

Role: Treatment Pedagogue/ Social Pedagogue

Employment type: We apply a six-month probationary period which can subsequently lead to a permanent position.

Working hours: 100%

Working time: : Day/ Evening/ Weekend

Start date: By agreement 

Collective agreement: Yes

About the recruitment process

Before any employment, a criminal record extract along with valid photo identification must be presented. If you are called for an interview, you need to be able to prove that you have the right to work in Sweden by showing that you have citizenship within the EU/EES or a valid work permit.
