Business Description:

Dormsjöskolan is a residential care home (HVB) for boys aged 7-23 years.

We are located in Southern Dalarna, just north of Hedemora, and have our own free school. Here, children and young people live in five beautifully situated houses, near a lovely swimming lake and exciting forests. There are opportunities for fun activities and quiet moments, as well as adults to lean on.

Target Group:

Boys with neuropsychiatric disabilities as well as social and emotional issues.

We have permission for 28 boys, and the permit includes placements supported by SoL, LVU, and LSS.

Job Description:

The foundation of our working method is to create predictability and routines in a structured environment, by giving the day, week, and year a clear recurring structure.

We map the abilities and difficulties of the children/youths. The mapping and care plan form the basis for an implementation plan based on the child's/youth's needs.

The work mainly involves treatment and motivational work for the child/youth. Personal care is also part of the job responsibilities.

The purpose is to help the children/youths achieve an independent life with functioning schooling.

The treatment work is individualized based on each child's/youth's needs and conditions.

Social skills training, impulse control, low-arousal approach, series conversations, social stories, and visual support are some of the methods we use.

We are looking for someone who is creative, enjoys physical activity, is passionate about working with children and young people with special needs, and is good at building trusting and positive relationships.

The job requires you to be secure, solution-focused, resilient, and have a great deal of patience.

Education: A social treatment educator or other equivalent education is desirable.
