Do you want to contribute to increased quality of life for the elderly and their relatives? We are looking for a dedicated and secure social worker for our three nursing homes in Falun – Daljunkaregården, Korsnäsgården, and Norshöjden.

As a social worker with us, you will work to strengthen the mental and social health of the elderly through counseling, crisis management, and guidance. You provide support to both residents and relatives and are an important resource for the staff in matters related to interaction and psychosocial support.

A particular focus of the role is the ethics forum, where you participate in reflection and discussion on ethical issues in care and support. You mentor and train the staff, participate in reflective conversations, and contribute to a safe and professional working environment. The role combines independent work with collaboration in a cross-professional team, where you contribute to a meaningful and secure everyday life for our residents.

Who are you?

You have an empathetic approach and are attentive to the needs of both patients and relatives. You are confident in your professional role and can handle sensitive conversations with respect and care.

You need to be able to work independently and take responsibility while having good collaboration skills and enjoying working in a cross-professional team. As a person, you are flexible, structured, and easily adapt to different situations and needs in everyday life. We place great importance on personal suitability.

Job description

We are currently looking for a part-time colleague for a permanent position with a probationary period at a 75% employment rate.

• Degree in social work
• Experience working as a social worker
• Experience in elderly care
• Good knowledge of Swedish and English in speech and writing

Meritorious

Experience in dementia care and working with BPSD (behavioral and psychological symptoms in dementia) is meritorious.

Before we offer employment, you will need to provide an unopened extract from the police criminal record. We also require a valid Swedish work permit, such as a passport or approved work permit from the Migration Agency.
