The Occupational Therapy and Social Work Unit operates at three hospitals in the region: Ludvika, Falun, and Mora. The Social Work Unit in Mora is a small unique unit with a total of five social worker positions and a department manager. Our mission is to assist and highlight the importance of psychosocial perspectives for rehabilitation and disease management in specialized healthcare. We receive patients and relatives on their own request or via referral from specialized care. Social Worker, Social Work Unit Mora Job Responsibilities

The social worker's mission is to contribute a psychosocial perspective in healthcare, focusing on psychological, systemic, and social legal aspects. The work includes investigation and treatment of patients and relatives, teaching, collaboration with healthcare staff and external actors, student supervision, and development work. The social worker is a psychosocial expert who highlights how the psychosocial situation affects medical treatment outcomes.

Furthermore, the social worker counters the medicalization of psychosocial issues and has special responsibility for matters such as violence in close relationships, children as relatives, and risk and addiction. The work takes place during the day with physical and digital visits, assessments in hospital wards, and home visits within specialized palliative care. Common tasks include individual conversations, patient education in groups, and participation in psychosocial rounds. We are looking for someone who can contribute to our operations through conversation, teaching, and collaboration. Please describe your relevant experiences in your personal letter. From 2029, a license as a healthcare social worker will be required within Region Dalarna. If you already have a license, it is an advantage. If you currently lack a license and demonstrate that you are the right person for us, you will be able to undertake the training as part of your employment.

If you have already started studies to become a healthcare social worker, you may, under certain conditions, have the opportunity to complete or undertake your training as part of your employment with us.

As a region employee, you will receive a subsidized bus pass, wellness allowance of 2000 SEK/year, and occupational pension.

To apply for a position with us, you must have:

• Degree in Social Work
• Driver's license for manual transmission

It is advantageous if you also have:

• experience in social work within healthcare or other psychosocial treatment work deemed equivalent.
• license as a healthcare social worker
• basic psychotherapy training (level 1) or equivalent licensure-based psychotherapy training (level 2)
• supervisor training
• advanced knowledge and training in areas such as children as relatives, violence in close relationships, and risk and addiction.

We expect that you, as an applicant, have good communication skills, can create good relationships with both colleagues and patients and relatives, and that you are willing to share your knowledge. Right now, the social work unit is on a development journey, and we need you who both want and can contribute with both competence and a forward-looking attitude full-time. Of course, you also contribute to a positive work climate with a focus on collaboration.
