Stolab is a Swedish furniture brand with a history that dates back to 1907. Together with designers, Stolab creates and manufactures solid wood furniture based on deep knowledge and extensive experience with the material. Alongside its sister brand Albin, furniture is developed, produced, and sold that lasts for generations. The company has a manufacturing facility in Smålandsstenar and currently employs around 50 people. We are a company with a strong vision to create tomorrow's classics, and we sell our products to customers all over the world. Please read more about us at www.stolab.se (http://www.stolab.se) and www.albinihyssna.se (http://www.albinihyssna.se).
Stolab is a company with a strong identity. For over a hundred years, we have created wooden furniture with care, precision, and attention to detail. We are now looking for a purchaser who wants to become an important part of the whole. Someone who appreciates the interplay between production, materials, and suppliers and who wants to contribute to ensuring that the flow behind our well-known furniture works in the best possible way.
As a PURCHASER at Stolab, you will be a central part of the material flow that makes our production possible. You will primarily work closely with our Sourcing Manager and our Production Planner to ensure that the right materials are in place when needed. The role reports to our COO and is fundamentally operational, focusing on creating stability, structure, and precision in the purchasing process while contributing to the development of flows and working methods in line with the business. In your daily work, you will handle the entire chain of operational purchasing: placing and following up on orders, maintaining order in item and price registers, ensuring that the business system is correctly updated, and early identifying anything that could disrupt production.
You also play an important role in the transition between sourcing and ongoing purchasing. When the Sourcing Manager has identified, negotiated, and quality assured a new supplier, it is you who takes over the ongoing dialogue. You drive the daily relationship forward, ensuring that agreements, information, and delivery routines are fully in place and that the transition from new supplier to stable flow works effectively. In this way, you become a natural bridge between the strategic groundwork and the operational delivery.
In this role, you also have a coordinating function regarding regulations such as Möbelfakta and the EU's deforestation regulation (EUDR). You are not expected to know this from the start, as we have external consulting support and offer training. Your task here will be to keep the process together and ensure that documentation comes in and that nothing falls through the cracks. Over time, the idea is that you will own these parts and drive the work forward as the regulations develop.
This is a role for you who want to be close to the core of the business and understand how production, materials, and suppliers are interconnected. You thrive with order and variety in your work and are motivated by creating stable and clear flows in an environment where craftsmanship and quality are at the center. With us, you will be part of a company with a strong community, deep expertise, and a culture where we support each other all the way, and where your work becomes an important part of the whole!
YOUR PROFILE
You have several years of experience in purchasing and thrive in a role where structure, pace, and relationships go hand in hand. What is important to us is that you feel secure in the purchasing work and enjoy understanding how the whole fits together, from materials and suppliers to finished products in production. Which industry you come from is less decisive; we rather see the value in new perspectives and a willingness to immerse yourself in our products, materials, and flows. You are analytical and meticulous, but also proactive when the situation demands it. Technology and details do not scare you; on the contrary, you see the value in understanding how components and processes affect the whole. You enjoy being close to production and gain energy from working in a flow where your contribution is noticeable. Creating order, structure, and precision is something you do naturally, and you have the ability to keep many threads going without losing sight of the big picture!
