The fundamental mission of Folktandvården Västernorrland is to contribute to life and health in Västernorrland by promoting good oral health on equal terms. We offer general dental care, hospital dental care, and have specialist dental care in various fields. Periodontology is part of the specialist clinic at Specialisttandvården Sundsvall Centrum. Here, specialist dental care is provided for children, adolescents, and adults in the areas of endodontics, periodontology, dental physiology, and prosthetics. We, who work at Specialisttandvården, are about 70 employees and we treat referred patients, both adults and children, from the region's public and private dentists as well as from healthcare.

As a dental hygienist with us, you are part of a team and work closely with specialist dentists and ST dentists as well as two dental nurses, in a department under construction with the ambition to grow. We place great focus on development and learning in the job, and you will have the opportunity for skill enhancement through training, observations, and seminars in the role.

We are now looking for a dental hygienist to join our team! The position is a permanent employment on a full-time or part-time basis as agreed. Start date is also negotiable.

Dental Hygienist at Specialisttandvården, Sundsvall Job Responsibilities

• Perform treatments and prophylaxis
• Collaboration with the department's periodontist in the management of periodontal diseases
• Educate and provide information to Folktandvården's dental hygienists

We are looking for someone who

• Is a licensed dental hygienist
• Has at least 2 years of work experience as a dental hygienist
• Has good knowledge of Swedish in both spoken and written form

It is an advantage if you

• Have completed some form of leadership training
• Have experience with motivational interviewing (MI)
• Have experience treating more complex cases with periodontitis/peri-implantitis
