The operations for geriatrics, neurology, and rehabilitation (GNR) are part of the southern primary care area. GNR has two care departments, one focused on stroke/neurology and one for rehabilitation. The rehabilitation department has 18 care places and manages both older and younger rehabilitation patients. Here, patients with extensive rehabilitation needs after stroke, traumatic brain injuries, spinal cord injuries, etc., are accommodated. GNR also has specialized home rehabilitation (SHR) focusing on stroke-affected patients and outpatient teams for neurological illnesses linked to the neurology clinic.

There is a joint reception for geriatrics and neurology where some rehabilitation medicine patients are also managed. Here, our newly started spasticity team works, consisting of doctors and physiotherapists focusing on botulinum toxin treatment. Furthermore, GNR collaborates with the habilitation service regarding baclofen pump treatment for certain patients with spasticity issues.

GNR also has a separate Day Rehabilitation for patients needing specialized outpatient rehabilitation, consisting of a team configuration with rehabilitation-oriented geriatricians, physiotherapists, occupational therapists, neuropsychologists, and rehabilitation coordinators. At Day Rehab, follow-up of spinal cord-injured patients is also managed. In the Day Rehab premises, there is also our newly started specialized pain service that completely follows the care process Pain, chronic - 1177 for healthcare professionals. The basic staffing consists of a team configuration of pain doctors, physiotherapists, psychologists, and a rehabilitation coordinator.

GNR is fundamentally well-staffed on the medical side and has 16 specialists and 8 residents in internal medicine, neurology, and geriatrics. We are now looking for a specialist physician in rehabilitation medicine, preferably with a primary interest in the outpatient part of GNR's rehabilitation. The position is a permanent full-time or part-time position of at least 50% with a start date according to agreement.

Your job responsibilities:

• Rehabilitation in outpatient and inpatient care.
• Focus on the younger patient group, as our geriatricians handle rehabilitation for the elderly.
• In the rehabilitation medicine outpatient care, continue to develop care for spinal cord-injured and spasticity patients, in team configurations with paramedics.
• Participation in the development of the newly started pain service.
• Participate in our team-based outpatient teams: Day Rehab, Spasticity Treatment, SHR, and Pain Service

We are looking for someone who

• Has good knowledge of Swedish in speech and writing
• Is a specialist physician in rehabilitation medicine, internal medicine, general medicine, or geriatrics

It is advantageous if you

• Have experience in rehabilitation in outpatient and inpatient care
• Have experience in team-based outpatient assignments
• Have experience with our current journal system Cosmic
