Treatment Pedagogue at SiS LVM Home Lunden

The Swedish National Board of Institutional Care, SiS, is an authority responsible for individually adapted compulsory care for young people with complex psychosocial problems and for adults with substance abuse. SiS also implements closed youth care. We do this in youth homes and homes for adults with substance abuse, throughout the country. With us at SiS, your work life will be an exciting challenge. SiS LVM Home Lunden receives women with alcohol, drug, or mixed substance abuse. We accept clients who have mental health issues and clients who need medical care. We operate in Lund.

Job Description

Do you want to help create life-changing transformations for vulnerable people? Then the job as a treatment pedagogue at SiS is a meaningful challenge. As a treatment pedagogue, you work in a team together with treatment assistants and treatment coordinators, and together you are responsible for ensuring that the clients living with us receive the safety, care, and treatment they need. We often meet people in crisis, which means you work with qualified care and motivational work and provide support in everyday life. With the support of your knowledge in care and treatment work, you actively contribute to the fulfillment of treatment plans. Documentation is an important part of your work, contributing to legal security, planning, and follow-up of our operations. You help maintain safety according to our routines and participate in ensuring that everyday life runs smoothly with activities, cleaning, cooking, etc. Being a contact person is also one of your tasks. The work may also include mentoring new employees and interns. This is a job for you who see a positive challenge in working with vulnerable people in a difficult life situation. The job is often demanding but also stimulating, joyful, and varied.

Working hours are according to a schedule, including days, evenings, and weekends.

We are looking for two treatment pedagogues for temporary positions.

Qualifications

To succeed in your work, you have a solid positive view of humanity. You are motivated to help people in vulnerable life situations and share SiS's values of being a place for change. Furthermore, you have a good ability to create engagement and participation among our clients. As a person, you are secure in yourself and have an easy time building relationships with clients as well as with other staff members. You possess good communication skills and can remain calm even in pressured situations. You easily collaborate with others and can handle conflicts constructively.

You should also have:

  • A degree from a 2-year post-secondary education at a folk high school or vocational college (KY/YH) focused on social/pedagogical treatment work or an equivalent higher education that we assess as comparable
  • A valid driver's license (B)
  • Good Swedish language skills, both spoken and written

It is an advantage if you have:

  • Experience in addiction care and with our target group
  • Experience with LARO

Employment:

The positions are temporary full-time for approximately 5 months, with good opportunities for extension. Start as soon as possible or according to agreement.
