About the position

Lund University is seeking 2-3 assistants for placement at Lund University Faculty of Engineering, Department of Building and Environmental Technology, Division of Building Materials.

Workplace Description

The position is located at Lund University, Faculty of Engineering, Department of Building and Environmental Technology, Division of Building Materials. The division conducts teaching and research on building materials. Approximately fourteen people work in the division, divided into categories of teachers/researchers, doctoral students, and technical-administrative staff. Assistants perform tasks related to undergraduate education, research, and administration. The workplace is located in the V-building, on the LTH campus in Lund.

Job Responsibilities

As an assistant, your tasks may vary and should provide insight into the academic world at the faculty where you are studying. The tasks for this position include laboratory supervision and exercise leading within the course VBMA30.

Qualifications

Eligible for employment as an assistant is someone who is admitted to education at the undergraduate or advanced level at the faculty. A degree must not have been obtained.

• Ongoing full-time studies in V-education or equivalent education deemed relevant by the employer
• Very good knowledge of Swedish, both spoken and written
• Good knowledge of English, both spoken and written
• Passed one of the courses VBMA30, VBMA25, or equivalent courses in education deemed relevant by the employer

Meritorious for the position

• Knowledge in building materials, building physics, or structural engineering, in the form of high course grades
• Study focus on building technology, construction, and civil engineering or through the choice of relevant elective or compulsory courses in the field of building materials
• Previous teaching experience at the university level
• Ability to express oneself clearly
• Good ability to collaborate
• Independence and initiative

The position includes 2-3 positions that are time-limited during the period from 2026-01-19 to 2026-03-08 and covers a total of 54% of a full-time position distributed among the positions.

The employment must not negatively affect the assistant's studies and should not be combined with other employment. Regulations regarding educational employment as an assistant can be found in the Higher Education Ordinance (SFS 2017:284), Chapter 5, Sections 8-12.

You will work according to a schedule established in agreement with you. The employment is covered by the Working Time Agreement for teachers.
