The Hospital in Ystad is a medium-sized hospital in southeastern Skåne, with easy commuting to both Malmö and Österlen. Approximately 1000 people work here, and the hospital provides both emergency and planned healthcare. We have, among other things, an emergency department operating around the clock, maternity/birthing services, and intensive care services. The hospital is characterized by short decision-making paths and close collaboration.

At the Ear, Nose, and Throat clinic (ENT), we receive patients for diagnostics, treatment, and rehabilitation. There is a day surgery unit (pol-op), access to an operating department, and inpatient beds for children and adults. Within the unit, there is a speech therapy clinic focused on swallowing and voice issues, an audiology clinic, and a sleep and CPAP clinic.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

We are looking for you who are either a nursing assistant or a medical secretary and want to be part of our dedicated team. As an administrator with management support responsibilities, you will provide administrative support regarding employment, onboarding, and recruitment. You will assist the unit manager with administration in personnel systems regarding salary, leave, sick leave, and scheduling. Reporting and monitoring waiting times may also be part of your role.

The management support role comprises 50% of your position, and you will be offered clinical duties based on your core profession for the remaining percentage. You will then work with common tasks in our clinic based on your professional role.

QUALIFICATIONS

We welcome you who are either a trained nursing assistant or a medical secretary. Regardless of your education, good knowledge of Swedish in both spoken and written form is required, as well as experience in administrative tasks related to management support. It is advantageous if you have knowledge of the healthcare systems we use, such as Melior and Pasis.

If you are a medical secretary, we welcome you if you have a recognized education in Health and Medical Administration of 80p KY points/400p YH or equivalent medical secretary training. You should also have good knowledge of medical terminology.

If you are a nursing assistant, we welcome you if you are a trained nursing assistant and meet the requirements set by the National Board of Health and Welfare for a protected professional title, regardless of whether you studied under previous or current program structures. Experience in clinic work and assisting in surgery is an advantage.

We are looking for someone who is engaged, attentive, and confident in their professional role. We place great importance on collaboration and communication skills, as well as the willingness to drive the operation forward in a positive spirit. Additionally, you should have a good ability to work independently and have a pleasant demeanor towards both colleagues and patients. Personal suitability is highly valued.

Please note that if you are a nursing assistant, you need to attach a certificate/grade (not just a diploma) from your nursing assistant education for your application to be considered complete.

If you have received your certificate of protected professional title, this should also be attached to your application. If you are a nursing assistant, you need to present a certificate of protected professional title from the National Board of Health and Welfare or a certificate that you were permanently employed on July 1, 2023. If you do not have this certificate, you will be employed as a care assistant, and the employment will be temporary, pending the certificate.
