Responsibilities

As a teacher of the Somali mother tongue, you will play a crucial role in supporting and strengthening students' language development and cultural identity. Your mission includes:

• Planning and conducting lessons in Somali, tailored to the various needs and conditions of the students.
• Creating a safe and inspiring learning environment where every student feels seen and heard.
• Developing and implementing educational activities that promote linguistic and cultural understanding.
• Assessing and following up on students' progress, as well as providing constructive feedback to support their learning.
• Working closely with colleagues and guardians to create a holistic view of the student's development.
• Contributing to the school's development and actively participating in various projects and activities.

Qualifications

We are looking for a licensed teacher with the authority to teach Somali. You express yourself fluently in Swedish, both orally and in writing.

As a person, you are stable and secure in your role, able to make difficult decisions and handle pressured situations. You need the ability to manage change in your professional role and adapt your working methods to the situation. You find it easy to collaborate with colleagues, students, and other stakeholders you encounter in the organization and have the ability to meet everyone with interest and respect.

Furthermore, it is important that you have the ability to be structured in your work and can prioritize the most important tasks in all your responsibilities. You see your work as part of a larger context and contribute to broader issues that are important for the organization.
