Härlandatjärnskolan is a newly built school welcoming students starting from the autumn term of 2022.

The school will have two classes in each grade and a total of approximately 560 students from grade F-9 when fully developed. The school is beautifully located by Härlanda Tjärn, close to forest and lake. The location of the school, combined with the interior environment where a lot of effort has been put into designing learning environments that offer students a fantastic working environment, is unique in many ways.

We are now looking for a teacher for grades 1–3 at Härlandatjärnskolan. There are two fixed-term positions starting in February/April 2026, each for one year.

Responsibilities

You will be part of a team of primary school teachers for grades 1–3. The position involves responsibility for planning, implementing, and evaluating lessons. Mentorship is also part of the assignment, where close dialogue with students and guardians is of utmost importance.

Together with your colleagues, you will create conditions for students' knowledge development, to achieve the goals of the curriculum and course syllabuses. Together, you are responsible for planning, documenting, analyzing, evaluating, and following up on students' development. You and your colleagues work to design an enjoyable and varied school day with the students' best interests in focus. Using the school's surrounding area and unbeatable location in nature in teaching is something we consider a given. The work also involves collaboration with other teachers, student health services, guardians, other staff, and other actors outside the school.

Qualifications

We are looking for a certified teacher for grades 1–3 with broad subject competence, MA/NO is a requirement. Experience working with GSFE and/or other digital platforms is an advantage. We also welcome candidates with training in PAX.

In the role of teacher with us, we seek someone with good collaboration skills to achieve our goals. We believe you are also good at building positive relationships, especially with students, but also with guardians and colleagues. You need to have experience working with students in need of various support measures. We believe that a good relationship between teacher and student is an important foundation for learning to take place. We also see that you promote a respectful work climate and communicate professionally with both students and colleagues and guardians. You do this by being open and accommodating and by listening to your surroundings to understand their needs. Continuous development of the operations occurs with us, so we would like you to contribute new ideas and perspectives on work-related issues and challenge methods, working methods, and ways of thinking.
