Ängås School F-9 is a school with about 500 students. In grades F-6, we are a 2-parallel school and in grades 7-9, we are 3-parallel. At Ängås School, there are good digital conditions for staff and students, and we have smartboards in all classrooms. All students and educational staff work in Google Suite for Education (GSFE). From grade 3, students receive their own Chromebook. We work a lot with digital teaching materials, and each teacher organizes their teaching in Classroom. Other systems we work with include SchoolSoft, Prorenata, and BeSched. The school has a well-functioning student health team that each teacher has a dialogue with based on students' needs and well-being. We also have a safety team led by a counselor that handles special student cases not covered by the daily work of student health. Additionally, we are fortunate to have a student café that is part of the LSS operations in the municipality. Here, high school students also get to practice and train in many skills.

Your tasks

You will teach Math and Science (Chemistry, Physics, Biology) in grades 7-9. You will also be a mentor for a class together with a mentor colleague. The mentoring role includes contact with guardians and students for necessary interventions. The position includes typical teacher tasks, including managing various routines in the systems we work in, such as SchoolSoft and Prorenata. You will also contribute to the systematic quality work of the unit (planning, implementation, follow-up, and analysis) together with colleagues. You will be part of a working team and a subject team. Building relationships is an important foundation in the work, both with students and colleagues. The position is a permanent position starting in the spring term of 2026.

About you

We are looking for a certified teacher for grades 7-9 with subject competence in Math and Science. If you do not have all these subjects, we are primarily interested in math competence. You should be able to work independently with planning, implementation, and follow-up, but also be a good team player and contribute to the whole together with colleagues. We wish for you to place great importance on both value-based goals and knowledge goals and to focus on the student. We hope you agree with us that a student cannot perform their best if they are not feeling well. It is everyone's responsibility in the school to help provide the student with the conditions to succeed. Everyone contributes in their own way.

You have the ability to base your planning and implementation on each student's conditions. We are looking for someone who is a confident leader in the classroom and a good team player in the work team. We hope you agree with us that by sharing, we can together develop the operations. You are independent, responsible, and aware that everyone contributes to a good operation with high quality and that the chain is never stronger than its weakest link.
