Initially, you will start your position within the Investigation of Support Services. This department handles, among other things, financial assistance, placements of adults in protective care, and the reception of newly arrived individuals. When the organizational change comes into effect, you, along with another department head, will lead the Authority's Operations. This department includes six units, three of which you will be responsible for. The position is a temporary role lasting until September 2026.

Responsibilities:

As a department head, you have the overall responsibility for leading, developing, and following up on the operations. You are responsible for ensuring results and that the operations work towards common goals. You have a clear strategic focus and create stability and clarity around the department's and operations' assignments.

Together with the management team, you drive the work of developing overarching strategies and goals. You are also responsible for ensuring that these are implemented in practice within the operational area. Furthermore, you ensure that working methods and priorities support the set goals and are adapted in line with the intentions of the new Social Services Act.

In your role as department head, you, along with other department heads, will create conditions for the organization in the transition work and work to establish the new organizational structure.

The role includes responsibility for finance, operations, personnel, and work environment. To succeed in this role, good collaboration both internally and externally is required, where you actively build relationships and create conditions for good cooperation. 

You report directly to the head of the department and are part of the management team. The management team includes the head of the department, department heads, finance and HR manager, and development manager.

Responsibilities

Overall responsibility for leading, developing, and following up on the operations for authority exercise.

Qualifications

You who are applying have a degree in social work or another relevant higher education as well as documented experience in leading personnel and operations. You have good knowledge of the Social Services Act and the Administrative Procedure Act.  

It is an advantage if you have several years of experience in social services authority work, preferably in harmful use and dependency or financial support. We also appreciate if you have worked with legal security and quality assurance. Experience in leading and creating engagement in change and development work is also highly meritorious.
