I am a calm and clever girl who enjoys coffee, music, horseback riding, stylish clothes, hats, wigs, boating, cleaning, yoga, and spending time with people who know and understand me. I am in my first year of high school and have assistance at school; now I also need assistance during holidays and some evenings and nights during the term. There is an opportunity to work about 10-20 hours a week based on a fixed schedule. If we (you and I) find that working nights works well, there is a possibility to work several nights a week.

I have an unusual genetic variation that includes selective mutism and seizures (almost always during sleep at night).

Clear communication supported by pictures, schedules, and/or sign language (TAKK) makes my daily life easier. I am looking for someone with humor, warmth, and a positive attitude towards life. You will be part of a small group of assistants who find it exciting to understand and support children/youth who think differently.

Experience with communication support (e.g., TAKK, Widgit Go, etc.), an interest in special education, and music is advantageous. The family has a cat and a dog.

It is good if you are flexible and can occasionally fill in when needed, in addition to scheduled shifts. Perhaps you are studying or have a passion on the side. We are keen to find solutions that work well for both me and the personal assistant.

The extent of the work will be adapted based on my and your needs.
