Job Responsibilities

We are now looking for a special education teacher to work with grades 4-6 at Augustenborg School!

As a special education teacher, you will work specifically with our middle school. Together with teachers and lead teachers, you will plan, implement, and follow up on the results of teaching at both individual and group levels. You will be responsible for the close student health work at your level and, together with other special education teachers at the school, also across the school. As a special education teacher, you will teach students, work with the learning environment, support teachers with additional adaptations, conduct assessments of students' needs for special support, write and evaluate action plans. You will also collaborate with other competencies in student health and external actors.

Qualifications

You are a qualified primary school teacher for grades 1-3 or 4-6 with qualifications in at least Swedish as a second language and mathematics. You have a special education degree focusing on language, writing, and reading development or mathematics development. You have worked as a teaching teacher at the lower or middle school level. As a special education teacher, you should be able to teach, follow, and assess students' language and reading development or mathematics development. Therefore, it is important that you have good linguistic competence in the Swedish language both orally and in writing. You need to have good knowledge of the school's governing documents and the ability to apply them in your daily work. It is important that you have good didactic and pedagogical skills and knowledge of relevant digital tools. The school is working to develop genre pedagogy and mathematics according to the Singapore model, so it is advantageous if you have knowledge and experience in this area.
