Teacher Position in Lerum Municipality
Lerum Municipality is known for its scenic locations with lakes and forests. The municipality has 3,200 employees and 43,000 residents but expects to grow significantly in the coming years. Lerum is only a 20-minute commute from Gothenburg and is currently facing a development-intensive period with many exciting projects underway, ranging from schools to housing. The municipality works to ensure good service, high welfare, and a thriving business climate.
Recently, Dagens Samhälle awarded Lerum as the winner in the category of metropolitan municipalities (2025) - an award based on a comprehensive comparison of 290 Swedish municipalities in areas such as education, healthcare, economy, culture and leisure, attractiveness, business, and future factors like digitalization and civil preparedness. We are now a Super Municipality!
Lindénska School is Lerum Municipality's resource school for students who need special support in the form of an adapted learning environment due to a permanent and extensive disability. The school has 25 students divided into primary, middle, and high school. The school is located in two separate buildings close to Stenkulans School.
The workplace is organized into three teams. The team consists of teachers, resource educators, and student assistants. The teams work closely with the school's student health team, which includes special teachers, special educators, a counselor, a school nurse, a career counselor, and a school psychologist.
Lindénska School aims to provide students with the conditions to achieve the goals of the curriculum. All staff at the school participate in this work, and the students' learning is the focus of all efforts made at the school. Our students should be active in their learning process. Being willing to try and learn from mistakes also means learning. We want students to dare to take initiative, try different ways to learn, and express their own opinions in a way they feel comfortable with. The goal is for learning to occur in a social context. All teaching should, as far as possible, take place in groups, and only in exceptional cases should teaching occur separately from this. If this happens, the goal is to create a situation where the student's need for a socially accessible learning environment is met as soon as possible. At Lindénska School, the aim is also to create opportunities for learning that better prepares students for life's opportunities and challenges. This requires all staff to work to develop clear leadership and an inclusive approach.
