Job Description

Are you ready for the future? We are – and now we are looking for you!

Within the Department of Work and Welfare in Kristianstad, we are embarking on an exciting journey of change. Our vision is clear: A department – ready for the future!

We are developing our organization to meet future needs and create even better conditions for our citizens. From April 2026, we will be working in a new organization – focusing on a modern, sustainable, and legally secure welfare system.

Today, we have around 480 dedicated employees who make a difference for people at different stages of life every day. Together, we create security, participation, and opportunities.

Now we are looking for more employees who want to join us on our journey of change. Are you driven, curious, and want to contribute to meaningful work? Then you might be the one we are looking for!

Job Responsibilities:

Within the area of operations, we will be responsible for the department's initiatives and accommodations aimed at children, families, and adults at various stages of life. The operations are divided into seven units and comprise about 150 employees. As the Deputy Operations Manager, you will be a close support to the Operations Manager and a key person in the management team. You are responsible for translating strategic goals into operational activities. You lead, coordinate, and develop parts of the operational area’s work. This includes following up on routines, processes, and working methods to ensure that the unit meets set goals, complies with legislation, and adheres to governing documents.

Special Assignments

You have a special assignment to work together with the unit managers:

  • Lead and coordinate quality follow-up, method support, and operational development within social services' initiatives for children, families, and adults
  • Develop and implement family-oriented work
  • Ensure that the work is carried out in accordance with applicable legislation, guidelines, and evidence-based practice or proven experience
  • Strengthen and coordinate method and development work within the various areas of operations
  • Develop common routines, processes, and systematic working methods to enhance legal security and quality
  • Initiate and drive improvement and development work

You are expected to build structures for follow-up and learning in the organization, together with the Operations Manager and other management functions.

Collaboration and Cooperation

An important part of the assignment is to:

  • Strengthen and develop collaboration both internally (between units and other operational areas) and externally (with schools, healthcare providers, the justice system, regions, non-profit actors, etc.)
  • Contribute to creating a holistic view in the work around the individual's needs – regardless of age or initiative
  • Act as the Deputy Operations Manager when needed

You work strategically but are also present in daily operations, with the ability to translate visions into concrete actions. You strive for a good collaborative climate and lead through dialogue, participation, and clarity.

Welcome with your application!

In this recruitment, we are collaborating with Randstad. Please submit your application by 2025-12-14. Selection and interviews will be conducted on an ongoing basis. Responsibilities

Act as Deputy Operations Manager for initiatives and accommodations in collaboration with the Operations Manager and unit managers.

Qualifications

You have a degree in social work or another relevant higher education that the employer deems equivalent. We expect you to have several years of experience in individual and family care as well as knowledge of relevant legislation. You have documented experience in taking a leading or coordinating role and thus have relevant leadership experience.

It is advantageous if you have experience in both authority exercise and implementation. We consider it a plus if you have experience working in municipal operations, as well as good knowledge of follow-up work and systematic quality work. Experience in driving change and development work is also highly meritorious.

To succeed in the role of Deputy Operations Manager, we see that you have the following personal qualities:

  • Strategic yet operational – you have the ability to switch perspectives and levels
