Make a difference. Every day.

Do you want to help create security for new nurses while also developing healthcare with a patient-centered focus? Then the role of nursing leader in the cardiology department is for you!

The cardiology department and cardiac intensive care unit (HIA) currently have 16 recovery beds and 8 cardiac intensive care beds. Additionally, we have a day care unit with 6 places where we receive elective patients with cardiological diagnoses. We primarily care for patients with arrhythmias and heart failure, as well as patients with coronary artery diagnoses. We have a high patient flow with admissions both from the emergency department and directly to us via ambulance.

We are a large team of about 80 employees, many of whom alternate between HIA, recovery, PCI lab, day care, and pacemaker operations. We also have a close collaboration with our heart clinic. Here, there is a dynamic environment where professional development is a natural part of everyday life.

RESPONSIBILITIES

The role of nursing leader is not an office job; you lead by being present in clinical work, at the patient's side.

With us, you will be one of two nursing leaders tasked with empowering colleagues and creating a safe work environment, especially for our new nurses, nursing assistants, and those with little experience. This work is best conducted in the field, bedside, close to daily clinical work.

You are a competence support and sounding board in the clinical everyday life for colleagues and new hires. A natural part of your work is to provide feedback in nursing work in an inspiring and humble way. Based on current nursing situations, you sometimes initiate reflective conversations and contribute to learning in the moment. You are a role model who shows how we together create safe care and high patient safety.

Since your working method is to be involved in clinical work, you identify areas for improvement in nursing and contribute to the development of routines, guidelines, and working methods. You have close collaboration with unit managers and quality and patient safety representatives, where the development of employees and the department is the focus. Your nursing leader role is combined with clinical nursing work on the ward.

Evening, night, and weekend shifts occur.

QUALIFICATIONS

You who apply are a licensed nurse with the authority to practice within Swedish healthcare. Additionally, you have language skills in Swedish that at least correspond to level C1 according to the Council of Europe's level scale. You have several years of work experience as a clinical nurse and are confident in your professional role. Your pedagogical ability is important, as is your ability to express yourself well in speech and writing. We consider it an advantage if you are a specialist-trained nurse, have a master's degree in nursing, and/or previous experience in nursing leadership and quality assurance of nursing work. Additionally, work experience in cardiology is advantageous.

As a person, you are structured, inspiring, and have a genuine interest in developing healthcare with a patient-centered focus. You are a skilled clinician who sees the whole picture and is professional in all interactions. You are comfortable and skilled at mentoring, instructing, and coaching colleagues based on where they are in their development. We place great emphasis on personal suitability.

In this recruitment, we apply ongoing selection. We warmly welcome your application. We look forward to getting to know you!
