The Critical Systems unit at Combitech in Gothenburg primarily works with in-house teams and team deliveries. With us, you are part of a dynamic team responsible for the entire delivery, planning, and problem-solving towards our customers.

One of our in-house teams is entering a truly exciting phase - we are going to develop a completely new communication platform from scratch within the defense and security sector. Here, you will have the opportunity to shape architecture, technology choices, and solutions from the start, together with an experienced and engaged team.

WHAT THE ROLE INVOLVES

Our work spans both software development and system development, and we are therefore looking for driven and knowledgeable developers with backgrounds in areas such as cyber security, cloud native, communication technology, AI/ML, and system architecture. We work in a Linux and Kubernetes environment, using languages and tools such as Java, Python, Bitbucket, Jira, and related DevSecOps platforms. Since the platform is under construction, this is a role where you will have significant technical and architectural influence, and the opportunity to set the direction for a solution that will be used in critical societal environments. Here you have the chance to contribute to something long-term, important - and really fun.

The team is based in Gothenburg, but some business trips within Sweden will occur.

For several of our roles, you will also be involved in shaping new solutions from scratch, with modern cloud-native working methods and a focus on robustness, security, and long-term scalability.

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR

To thrive and develop in the role, we are looking for someone motivated by solving problems together with others. You appreciate working in teams, and we also believe that you have an analytical ability and an awareness of quality. We are looking for someone with broad competence and a desire to learn new things.

We see that you have an academic degree in Data, Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, Computer Science, or equivalent. Since we work with both software and system development, we are looking for engaged and competent developers with experience in areas such as cyber security, cloud native, communication technology, AI/ML, and system architecture. Our work environment consists of Linux and Kubernetes, and we use tools and languages such as Java, Python, Bitbucket, Jira, and various DevSecOps platforms.
