Unit's Mission

The Digital Customer Flow unit develops the Swedish Public Employment Service's customer meetings.

We are here for job seekers, employers, and internal caseworkers. We provide system support to assess job seekers' needs and to develop and make available a plan for them to enter work or studies. We manage and develop tools for follow-up and analysis of job seekers and to ensure efficiency in case management.

The Customer Relationship Management area is undergoing a comprehensive technical transformation, and we are now looking for a software architect who also acts as a tech lead, and who wants to help create the technical conditions to increase the degree of automated processes. Our systems handle job seekers' experiences, employers' competence needs, and matching.

Job Description

As a software architect and tech lead with us, your primary task is to have technical responsibility for applications and components and to ensure their lifecycle. You ensure that the software is installable, upgradable, manageable, and monitorable, and that the right expertise for this is available. You are responsible for ensuring that realized components within the system, both framework and business components, can be reused and integrated back into the solution architecture. You actively participate in development as part of the team and are advisory and coordinating in technical choices.

We are looking for a person with extensive experience and knowledge to work independently but who is also a skilled team player. You should have worked both as a software architect and tech lead and preferably have a background as a programmer in Java backend.

We believe you are a problem-solving person who values teamwork and agile working methods. As a person, you are engaged and curious about the needs of the assignment and strive to deliver the best results every time. You have the ability to work structured and document solution proposals and take responsibility for structuring and designing software to meet both functional requirements and the various quality attributes that are set. You also have a leading role in the development team.

Our Offer

The position is a permanent full-time employment that may start with a six-month probationary period. The work location is Solna.

Basic Requirements

  • At least 3 years of higher education with a focus on IT or equivalent knowledge acquired in other ways
  • At least 5 years of experience working as a software architect
  • At least 3 years of experience working as a tech lead
  • At least 3 years of experience developing in Java
  • Experience working in large and complex system environments
  • Practical experience of software development methodologies that include modeling and the use of architecture and design patterns
  • Fluent in Swedish and English in both speech and writing

Other Qualifications

  • Good knowledge of software development, technical platforms, development tools, and programming languages such as;
  • Experience in Front-end development
  • CI/CD, DevOps, Container technology
  • SOAP and REST
  • Test automation and tools within test automation
  • Tools such as Kubernetes/Open-Shift, Git/Bitbucket, Maven, JBoss/EAP, Spring Boot, ArgoCD, Tekton, Helm and/or Kustomize
  • Good knowledge of infrastructure, design for scalability, and alternative deployment solutions
  • Experience of agile development methods, such as Scrum
  • Experience working or assignments within a government authority
  • Certified architecture training
