JOB DESCRIPTION

We are looking for a school nurse for Skurup Municipality, offering an independent, stimulating, and developing job. The position involves working with students in grades F-6 and is based in two school units within Skurup, including Prästamosseskolan.

Skurup's school organization is currently undergoing a reorganization that will be implemented at the start of the fall term in 2026. Work is underway to shape the new school organization, including the placement of school nurses in the municipality.

As a school nurse, you play a significant role in promoting health and preventing issues both directly with students/classes and through collegial work at the group and organizational level.

You will work closely with a fellow school nurse and be part of the school's student health team, where student health and school management collaborate transprofessionally to create the best possible conditions for students' health, development, and learning. In your role, you contribute your nursing competence to create the best possible conditions for students' health, development, and learning.

As a school nurse, you will also have contact with guardians, external healthcare providers, and authorities outside the school. Through networks, you will collaborate with other school nurses in the municipality. You are responsible for organizing and planning your own and the school doctor's reception work throughout the school year and for conducting health follow-ups, vaccinations, and open reception as part of an established basic program.

QUALIFICATIONS

We are looking for someone who is committed and enjoys working with children and young people. You are a licensed nurse with specialist training in child and youth health or open healthcare while wanting to be part of developing the school's student health work.

Experience as a school nurse and in health promotion work with children and youth, as well as good computer skills with experience in a documentation system, are advantageous.

You are responsible, take initiative, have good planning and organizational skills, and are good at communicating and collaborating.
