Your Workplace

Torsby Health Center has approximately 10,600 registered patients and a staff of around 35 people with broad expertise.

The medical team consists of four specialists and five ST physicians – with a variety of ages and experiences. Here, you will also find district nurses, practical nurses, social workers, psychologists, CBT therapists, medical administrators, and foot therapists.

We are co-located with Torsby Hospital. In the same building, there are emergency services, laboratories, radiology, outpatient rehabilitation, family center, and outpatient psychiatry. Torsby is strategically located with good train, bus, and flight connections to Karlstad and Stockholm.

Your Responsibilities

As an ST physician with us, you will receive strong support from your colleagues in your development towards becoming a fully qualified specialist. You will be assigned a personal supervisor and have scheduled time for regular supervision. We expect you to actively contribute to your own development through patient reading and deepening your theoretical knowledge.

We work cross-professionally around the patient, and as a physician in our workplace, you need to easily collaborate with different professions.

Your Skills and Competencies

We are looking for you who are a licensed physician and want to start a ST training in general medicine. As a training physician, we care about both your supervision and study time each week, and we have ongoing discussions for a reasonable assignment.

You are a confident and humble person who enjoys collaborating with others but can also plan, structure, and prioritize your work independently. At the same time, it is important that you can adapt to changing circumstances, work solution-focused, and see the bigger picture. Your strong empathetic ability ensures that you always put the patient's needs at the center, while also inspiring others, being quality-conscious, and striving to maintain a high standard in your work.
