Your role with us

Tollarps School's upper secondary has two parallel classes in each grade with five teaching teachers as mentors in each grade work team. Teaching will be conducted in our 9th grade where students in our two classes are divided into three teaching groups.

As a teacher with us, you stimulate students to learn and take responsibility. With commitment and enthusiasm, you create a safe learning environment based on mutual respect and cooperation, through good leadership both inside and outside the classroom.

Teaching is designed based on the goals of the curriculum where planning, preparation, implementation, and evaluation are important cornerstones. You have positive and high expectations of the students and adapt the teaching according to all students' levels, focusing on the best interests of the student.

Through dialogue, you create good relationships characterized by mutual respect and a trusting approach. In your role, you keep up to date with events in the world and the daily lives of young people. Alternative teaching tools and documentation are a natural part of your work. In a systematic way, you reflect on practical work and together with colleagues, you drive development work in the work group/school. You also have a shared responsibility for both your own and the group's planning and further development.

If you are new as a teacher, you will be supported by a mentor for the best guidance in your work, and if you are an unqualified teacher, you can conduct teaching but not be responsible for it. Responsibility for grading lies with a qualified teacher.

Who are we looking for?

We are primarily looking for someone with a teaching license with the qualification to teach grades 7-9 in mathematics in combination with biology, chemistry, physics, and technology in primary school. Secondly, we are looking for someone who has subject knowledge at the university level in the above subjects. It is advantageous if you have pedagogical training at the university level.

You have the ability to adapt teaching according to each student's conditions, and your lessons are characterized by clear expectations, a conducive working atmosphere, and a desire to learn. You have engagement, enthusiasm, and a genuine interest in the school world and how it is affected by the outside world.

A success factor is your ability to create trusting relationships both inside and outside the school. Furthermore, you are a secure pedagogical leader with the ability to critically analyze your own and the work group's methods for continuous development.

The role requires a very good ability to communicate in Swedish, both orally and in writing. Of course, you use digital technology in teaching and as a tool for information, planning, communication, and reporting. You organize and structure your work based on specified goals.

As a person, you are communicative, attentive, and well acquainted with and live up to the ethical principles for teachers, as well as having the ability to analyze and document students' abilities and knowledge.

In order for us to consider your application, you must attach your degree certificate and teaching license. If there are no qualified licensed teachers, you who are unqualified can be employed temporarily according to the Education Act. When we want to offer you the position, you must present an extract from the police's criminal record for us to be able to employ you, according to the provisions in Chapter 2, Sections 31-33 of the Education Act.
