Teacher in Media and English at Johannes Hedberg High School

We are in need of a substitute teacher in the subjects of English, media, society and communication, as well as media production. The position is a substitute for parental leave at 60% and extends over the spring term.

Johannes Hedberg High School is part of Folkuniversitetet. Our idea is to provide people with the conditions for a richer life through knowledge and creativity. Folkuniversitetet is a foundation free from political, religious, commercial, and union interests. Johannes Hedberg High School is a non-profit independent school in Helsingborg that has existed since 1994. Today, we have approximately 460 students distributed across the social science program and the natural science program. We have about 40 employees in new, fresh premises in the heart of Helsingborg, just a few minutes from the train station.

Our expectations of you

- You are a certified upper secondary school teacher in the subjects or are in the process of becoming one.

- You have experience teaching at the upper secondary level.

- You are engaged, flexible, and passionate about good teaching.

- You have a clear student focus and are driven by seeing young people develop.

- You have good collaboration skills.

- You have good knowledge of Adobe programs InDesign, Illustrator, and Photoshop.

About the position

The position is a substitute for parental leave at 60% and extends over the spring term of 2026, starting on January 7, 2026, or by agreement.

The position includes teaching in the subjects of English, media, society and communication, and media production, as well as responsibility for the school newspaper.
