Health and Stress Medicine is part of the Västra Götaland Region, encompassing Health and Work Life, regional assignments regarding work environment and health, Green Rehab, and the Institute for Stress Medicine. The management's mission is to provide occupational health services for the Västra Götaland Region's administrations and companies, as well as to prevent ill health, stress, and improve the work environment through research, knowledge dissemination, and our regional assignments. Description

Health and Work Life is the Västra Götaland Region's internal occupational health service consisting of 5 units represented in: Skaraborg, Fyrbodal, Southern Älvsborg, and Gothenburg.

Health and Work Life operates from a systematic work environment perspective (SAM) in the areas of medicine, ergonomics, health promotion, environment, technology, and behavioral science. We participate in several projects, both regional and national, within work environment, health, and rehabilitation, and can offer good development opportunities for our employees.

We are now looking for an ergonomist/certified physiotherapist to join two of our units. Your placement will either be at the Fyrbodal unit (Uddevalla/Trollhättan) or at the Skaraborg unit, and you will perform assignments for both units. Currently, there is one ergonomist at each unit, and this position is an expansion.

Responsibilities

Health & Work Life has the overarching goal of supporting our clients with various interventions to enhance the health of the region's employees. We work in close dialogue with our clients and collaborate with managers, HR, and union representatives.

We work in teams, and you will collaborate with company doctors, occupational nurses, organizational consultants (psychologists and behavioral scientists), secretaries, work environment engineers, and health strategists.

As an ergonomist with us, you will work both independently on your own assignments and together with other competencies on more complex interventions. We strive to increase the proportion of health-promoting and preventive measures.

You will work with physiotherapeutic and ergonomic assessments at both individual and workplace levels. This includes performing assessments, providing advice, and offering support based on individual circumstances. You will work with workplaces at the group level and conduct risk assessments.

Your responsibilities also include educational interventions for different workgroups and health profiles with assessments and advice.

Qualifications

Licensed physiotherapist with several years of work experience in the field. Ergonomist training is desirable. Training in health profile assessments and/or other relevant education in health and work environment is preferred. Experience from previous work in occupational health or other revenue-funded operations is an advantage.

In your work, you are structured and can easily adapt to situations as needed. You have good communication skills, can easily establish contact, and enjoy working both in teams and independently. You are consultative with a strong focus on building relationships. You are engaged and thrive in working solution-oriented. This position requires flexibility with collaboration across two teams. The role includes travel both locally and by car.
