Prolympia Västra Göteborg - Teaching Position in Textile Crafts

Prolympia is Sweden's leading sports school at the primary school level, operating from Gothenburg in the south to Umeå in the north. Centrally located in Västra Frölunda, Prolympia Västra Göteborg is housed in the old police station that has been transformed into a modern newly renovated school with specialized classrooms, interactive classrooms, its own cafeteria, and proximity to Gothia Arena where sports education takes place. Here we offer an independent primary school focused on knowledge, safety, sports, and health for students from grades seven to nine. Students have the opportunity to combine their interest in sports with a successful school experience. Our goal is for all teachers at Prolympia to have some form of sports background and thus an understanding of the benefits that sports and health provide.

Job Responsibilities

In your role as a teacher, you will teach textile crafts. The teaching will take place in grades 7-8, and in your daily work, you will plan lessons, prepare classes, and document students' development. You actively work to encourage all students to develop their knowledge and have the ability to adapt teaching to promote learning and good academic results. You will be part of a team where you can daily exchange experiences, thoughts, and ideas that can improve your teaching and contribute to school development. The role includes being a mentor for an 8th-grade class.

Qualifications

We are looking for someone who has a degree from a teacher education program with a teaching license and qualifications to teach textile crafts. A background check regarding work in schools and preschools is required for employment.
