At Avesta Hospital - Clinic for Acute Medicine Geriatrics and Rehabilitation, we are the small hospital with the big heart. The physiotherapists here work across a broad field with both outpatient and inpatient care in various parts of the clinic's receptions and wards, such as rehabilitation, geriatrics, medicine, emergency care, home rehab, outpatient rehab, and specialized palliative care at home. During the summer, parts of the outpatient clinic are closed, which means you will primarily work in inpatient care with a focus on medicine or geriatrics and rehabilitation.

The work is varied, and you will have the opportunity to use your skills to contribute to the patient's rehabilitation process in close collaboration with the rest of the team.

Temporary Physiotherapist, Avesta Hospital Job Responsibilities

As a physiotherapist with us, you will have an exciting and varied everyday life where you work clinically with patients primarily in inpatient care, home rehabilitation, and as a resource within the palliative team. You will become part of engaged teams responsible for specialized rehabilitation in areas such as neurology, respiration and circulation, orthopedics, and geriatrics.

We are looking for someone who is curious, collaborative, and wants to help develop our specialized physiotherapeutic care. Physiotherapy students participate in the physiotherapeutic assessment of the patient. Together with the team, you will plan for individual treatment to meet the patient's goals. You will perform individual training with the patient according to the prescribed training program. Handling of aids based on the patient's needs in consultation with the team. In cases where required, you may participate in home visits in connection with discharge from the ward or assist a colleague within the region's home rehabilitation team. Your interventions will be documented in the journal system Cosmic.

Requirements:

• Licensed physiotherapist/physiotherapy with or without experience.
• Alternatively, you are in training to become a physiotherapist (term 5 or 6) - you need to have completed term 4 by summer 2026

Personal qualities:

You are expected to have a good ability to collaborate, to be able to work independently but also in a group. You need to have good knowledge of the Swedish language to communicate in writing and verbally.

Meritorious:

• A burning interest in physiotherapy and a curiosity to learn new things
• Driving license B for a manual transmission car (driving is required in the job)
