Job Description

As a specialist in general medicine at our clinic, you will have a varied and meaningful role where you investigate and treat patients, both during scheduled and urgent visits. It is important for us to work in a structured manner with a clear focus on our patients.

Part of the role involves mentoring residents and trainees, where you will have the chance to share your knowledge, inspire, and help shape the future colleagues. You will work closely with all professions at the clinic and play a key role in our continuous improvement and development work.

Who are we looking for?

We are looking for someone who is a trained specialist in general medicine and has experience working in primary care. You are confident in your professional role and have the ability to see the organization from a holistic perspective, focusing on both the patient and the clinic. You need to have good communication skills to build strong relationships with both patients and colleagues. As a person, you are attentive to our patients' needs, and your approach is professional and humble. Experience and/or interest in mentoring residents and trainees is an advantage.

Who are we?

You will belong to our medical team, which currently includes two permanently employed general practitioners and four trainees based at the health center. The operation also includes a physiotherapy clinic.

Other professions present with us are district nurses, nurses, nursing assistants, psychologists, social workers, dietitians, and physiotherapists.

What do we offer?

We are a well-functioning health center with permanent doctors as well as nurse-based clinics such as elderly care, diabetes care, asthma/COPD care, and district nurse clinics. We offer good conditions and benefits. We are located in pleasant premises in central Uppsala. The operation has about 6350 registered patients.
