Our Operations

The Radiology Department consists of nearly 40 employees, including 7 radiologists. We conduct approximately 44,000 examinations per year in CT, MRI, ultrasound, and conventional radiology (including fluoroscopy and intervention in very limited scope). The Radiology Department has been modernized in various stages to secure future needs and requirements. We serve the Enköping area with general radiology and support the Academic Hospital with specialized examinations for the entire Uppsala Region. We are expanding with a second CT scanner with dual energy that can also handle CT of the heart.

Your Mission

As a radiologist, you will primarily work with ultrasound, CT, MRI, and conventional radiology. You will be part of the on-call operations. Currently, 2 working days a week are performed via remote review from home. We have scheduled patients during the day and evening, as well as emergency services around the clock. On-call work for you as a radiologist is mainly performed from a home workstation until 10:30 PM. After that, the primary on-call radiologist at the Academic Hospital takes over the review and prioritization. Occasional visits to the radiology department for ultrasound are made on holidays during standby.

Your Qualifications

We are looking for a licensed physician with specialist competence in radiology and experience in the field. MRI competence is an advantage but not a requirement. When filling the position, we will place great emphasis on personal suitability.
