Our Operations

The oncology section within the department of hematology and oncology provides highly specialized care, investigation, and treatment. The section also conducts training for various professional groups and research on tumor diseases and new treatments.

At the oncology clinic, a highly competent and dedicated team works to care for both each other and the patients. The operation offers a stimulating, developing, and dynamic work environment where one continuously follows and participates in the expansive development within oncology.

At the clinic, about fifteen contact nurses work in different tumor groups, and depending on the size of the tumor group, some groups include several contact nurses.

Your Mission

With us, you will be part of a collaborative and committed team for breast cancer consisting of three contact nurses who work closely with coordinators, nursing assistants, and doctors. We have an open and positive work climate where collaboration, well-being, and collegial support are a natural part of everyday life.

In the role, you will have your own contact nurse clinic where you independently plan and conduct patient visits and follow up on patients based on their individual needs and ongoing treatments, as well as provide telephone advice and follow-ups. You will also be responsible for coordinating care efforts in close collaboration with other professionals. The work gives you great freedom to structure your workday independently and drive your own work forward, while always having support from the team around you.

We collaborate with many different healthcare providers and professional groups, creating variation, breadth, and development in the work.

Your Qualifications

We are looking for a licensed nurse, preferably with specialized training in oncology or contact nurse training.

Your Competence

We are looking for someone who has the ability to work independently but also as part of the team around the patient. You are also expected to be engaged in our cancer care and participate in relevant training for the position.

We Offer

We offer a temporary position at 100% from 260105–270831 with the possibility of extension. Working hours are scheduled during the day, Monday to Friday. There is the possibility of remote work to the extent that the operation allows. We encourage each other to continue education and have the opportunity to attend various training sessions and courses. Akademiska sjukhuset offers a wellness grant of 3000 SEK per year.
