Our Operations

This job is for you who enjoy having a wide range of tasks, variety, and want to learn new skills. Ward 85F2 is a surgical care unit focused on plastic and maxillofacial surgery as well as burn care all in one department. We care for both adults and children with a mix of planned and emergency patients. Patients requiring specialized high-level care are received from our own region, the area we are responsible for as a university hospital, from all over the country, and even from abroad.

We offer a varied job with challenges and great stimulation that contributes to the development of your skills. In our specialty, functionality is restored after e.g. tumor diseases, severe bodily injuries such as burns, and congenital malformations. The reconstructive plastic surgery at Uppsala University Hospital is recognized as one of the leading centers in plastic surgery both nationally and internationally.

Your Qualifications

You are a licensed nurse with an interest in surgical care. You are driven, solution-oriented, and curious as a person. Your motto is to always do the best for the patient. Experience in surgical care and/or care for children is an advantage but not a requirement.

We Offer

We are looking for a new nurse to join our team. We offer a permanent position on a two or three-shift basis. For three shifts, a rotation supplement is provided.

You will receive an onboarding period of about 6 weeks together with a mentor, and the introduction will be tailored to your prior knowledge so that you feel secure in your role with us. We will agree with you on how the working hours during the onboarding should look. We believe that individual onboarding is important as we all have different needs. Continuous professional development throughout your career is a given for us.

With us, you will receive benefits that make a difference, read about the benefits here (https://regionuppsala.se/jobba-hos-oss/bli-var-nya-kollega/formaner/).
