We need to hire more of Sweden's best social workers. At Children and Youth, you will have a meaningful and challenging job. We perform tasks that make a difference for our children and youth – with us, it’s for real.

The reception is an exciting and developing workplace where no day is the same. The unit consists of three team leaders and 15 social workers. The social workers are divided into three teams with five social workers in each team. Every third week, the team has an on-call week during which reports/applications are received and risk assessments are made. This is followed by two assessment weeks where social workers hold meetings and write preliminary assessments. All work is done with close support from team leaders.

Your tasks

Your main tasks as a social worker in the reception unit are to handle incoming reports and applications, conduct risk assessments in cases, and provide advice and support. In the reception unit, you will make preliminary assessments and make decisions according to the Social Services Act, LBSB, and LVU. Here, you belong to a workgroup with high satisfaction and community.

Who are you?

In the reception group, you represent the Social Services Children and Youth towards clients, citizens, and partners. Therefore, you possess a broad knowledge of the social services' authority and interventions and can make independent assessments in cases. You are flexible and can work at a high pace.

Requirements:
- Degree in Social Work
- Good computer skills
- Very good knowledge of Swedish in both spoken and written form
- Driver's license

Meritorious:
- Experience in authority operations within Children and Youth
- Training in Signs of Safety
- Training in Motivational Interviewing (MI)
- Experience working in the operational system Combine

Personal qualities:
- You can remain calm and professional in stressful situations
- You have a good demeanor towards both clients and colleagues and partners
- You have the ability to analyze situations and make independent decisions based on applicable legislation and guidelines.
- You value differences and understand that different backgrounds and cultures can affect yourself and others in various ways
