About the job
The IT department at the Swedish Tax Agency is one of Sweden's largest, with a large and exciting IT environment. We are responsible for the operation, management, and development of the IT systems for the Tax Agency and our clients. We offer you good development opportunities and a chance to grow within a broad and varied IT environment. We aim high and achieve good results, and it is a given for us that you should have a balance between work and leisure.
We are now looking for more Windows Server technicians for our production team that works with the operation and maintenance of Windows Server environments. The team consists of 10 employees who are responsible for the availability of about 2,000 virtual servers. This year, we will replace the technical platform, which will lead to many exciting and developing tasks within new technology!
Your tasks include, among other things, operation and installation of virtual servers including surrounding infrastructure. You will respond to alarms and incidents on the Windows Server platform and drive work with automation and efficiency using PowerShell. You will work with security patching of the Windows platform using SCCM and collaborate with the development team for Windows Server. Your work will also include documentation management.
The position includes being on call and some scheduled working hours. Work in the evenings and weekends may occur. The location for this position is in Sundbyberg.

About you

In this job, you should:
- be able to plan, organize, and document your work

- be willing to share your knowledge and pass it on
- have good problem-solving skills, see patterns, and be able to make delimitations
- express yourself well in speech and writing in Swedish
You should also have:
- a relevant education in IT for the position, or current and relevant work experience that we assess as equivalent
- at least three years of experience troubleshooting in Windows Server environments
- experience with Microsoft Windows Server 2019 or later
- experience with Microsoft Active Directory
- good knowledge of PowerShell
- good knowledge of troubleshooting network issues in a Windows environment
It is desirable that you have experience with MS SQL version 2016 or later and experience with DNS. Relevant experience in SCCM and VMware is also desirable. Experience working in a larger government agency is also preferred.
Good to know
The employment is permanent and may start with a six-month probationary period.
Employment with us may involve placement in a security class. A security review with a background check according to the Security Protection Act (2018:585) may therefore be conducted before a decision on employment. For some of our tasks in security class, Swedish citizenship is required.
