Almunge School is a pleasant school in the countryside near the city. The school is characterized by a professional and friendly atmosphere with 530 students in grades F-9 and about 60 staff members. We have access to suitable premises, a well-stocked school library, and a large sports hall with a teaching pool, as well as a surrounding environment that allows for many different activities throughout the year.

An international perspective has long been a part of our operations through various exchange projects we participate in within the Erasmus+ program. We also base our work on cooperative learning as a foundation for creating a collaborative learning environment. Your mission

Your work will involve, together with teachers and leisure staff, being responsible for the students' entire school day. You will help support students during lessons and breaks, follow students in various teaching situations, and provide social support. You are expected to conduct an adapted educational activity based on both individual and group needs. It also includes contributing to the development of leisure activities together with other staff and creating a stimulating and safe environment. We conduct a large part of our activities outdoors, so you must enjoy being outside in all seasons.

Your background

We are looking for someone who has teaching assistant training or other education that the employer deems relevant for the position. We see that you have experience working in primary school. If you have experience working as a teaching assistant with children in need of special support, it is considered an advantage. The job requires that you have good oral and written skills in Swedish. You also need to have good IT skills.

As a person, you are flexible and can see opportunities in changes. You take initiative and start activities to achieve results. Furthermore, you are good at creating, maintaining, and developing professional relationships. The job suits you if you collaborate and relate to others in a responsive and smooth manner.
