Are you a trained nursing assistant and want to work in a department close to the pulse of emergency care? Then you might be the one we are looking for to join our neurology and stroke department at Helsingborg Hospital.

In newly renovated premises in the hospital's main building, we care for patients with stroke and other neurological diseases such as Parkinson's, Guillain-Barré, myasthenia gravis, multiple sclerosis, epilepsy, and brain tumors. Due to the department's focus on neurology and stroke patients, we also encounter acute situations and have a close collaboration with the emergency department. The department currently has two care teams with fourteen care places, five of which are monitoring places with telemetry capability. We also have three day care places.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

We are now welcoming two nursing assistants to join us in Helsingborg!

In your role as a nursing assistant with us, you will have a stimulating and varied job. You will perform common tasks in a care department with a high level of preparedness for acute situations. Your nursing work will include both basic and specific care based on a person-centered approach. Your work may vary from being an alarm nursing assistant one day, assisting with acute stroke alarms and thrombolysis treatment, to being the responsible nursing assistant for a group of patients in one of our teams the next day.

As a new nursing assistant, you will receive an introduction that we plan together with you based on your wishes, experiences, and conditions. As an experienced nursing assistant, you will be offered training within Region Skåne, such as supervisor training.

We value competence training for our staff. If you are engaged in any area of responsibility, we provide you with the opportunity to deepen your competence through training, where you will then be responsible for passing on the knowledge to your colleagues.

QUALIFICATIONS

We are looking for someone who is a trained nursing assistant and meets the National Board of Health and Welfare's requirements for a protected professional title, regardless of whether you have studied according to previous or current program structures. Good language skills in Swedish, both spoken and written, are a requirement. If you have experience working as a nursing assistant in a hospital and/or on a neurology and stroke department, it is an advantage. It is desirable that you have general computer skills and knowledge of the Melior journal system.

As a person, it is important that you have the ability to adapt to changing circumstances and can solve problems as they arise, as well as quickly switch work pace. Since you will be working in a team, we expect you to have good collaboration skills and the ability to see the advantages of a multiprofessional approach. Your competence is important, and we expect you to share and contribute knowledge and experiences with your colleagues. With a flexible and positive attitude, and your contribution to a good work climate, we create together the conditions for care and the work environment to be as good as possible.
