We are looking for stable and caring assistants with good physical condition and stress resilience for an important role as a personal assistant. The job involves round-the-clock double staffing and therefore requires good teamwork skills. You are a team player, flexible, and have a caring side.

You will assist a 55-year-old man living in Enskede, Stockholm. He lives with ALS and has difficulties speaking, which means he needs help with most aspects of his daily life and has assistance around the clock. He uses advanced communication aids and needs a safe, attentive, and responsive assistant by his side. You will be his extended arms and support him in everything from personal care to handling aids and creating a smooth and secure daily life. You will work in his home – a calm and pet-free environment.

The position is initially a part-time employment, but there are good opportunities for fixed shifts in the schedule if the collaboration works well and you show commitment, responsibility, and willingness to work.

• Daily support and care – Assist with dressing and undressing, transfers (floor lift), showering, toilet visits, and personal hygiene.
• Household chores – Light cleaning, laundry, and other tasks.
• Handling of aids – Use of cough machine, oxygen machine, suction device, PEG, tube feeding, communication aids, and wound dressing.
• Communication support – You need to be able to read facial expressions and body language to understand the needs of the person you are assisting.

• Previous experience in personal assistance or care – you feel comfortable handling aids.
• Attentive, calm, and flexible – you see what needs to be done and adapt to the situation.
• Soft and secure demeanor – while also being independent and proactive.
• Non-smoker and fluent in Swedish – you speak, understand, and read Swedish without any problems.

• Start date: Immediately. 
• Contract: The position starts with introductory shifts and part-time employment. If everything goes well, there is the possibility of fixed shifts in the schedule. In your application, you can indicate your availability for work.
• Work shifts: Double assistance around the clock – the work is always done with two assistants present to provide the best possible support.
